Although the grade 2 listed property benefits from a large rear garden, the existing ground floor arrangement meant the living rooms were at the front of the house. This combined with a carport and tarmac courtyard meant the house was separated from the garden. Our clients wanted to create a new modern extension to compliment the existing house, which provided living spaces within easy access to the garden. With the parking and access retained this left room for a single story brick extension providing kitchen, dining and living space extending along the boundary line into the garden.
