The village school

This grade II listed Victorian school, located deep in the Devon countryside, enjoyed success that was outstripping the facilities it had to offer. We developed a masterplan to take the school into the 21st century. This included a three-classroom extension for Foundation and Key stage 1 pupils together with a programme of extensive alterations to the existing listed building. The form and materials of the new buildings draw inspiration from local s tone and flint barns as well as the church nearby.
